Archdiocese of Oklahoma City

The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City was established as a diocese in 1905 — rooted in the Apostolic Prefecture of Indian Territory erected in 1876 — and elevated to an archdiocese in 1972 when the Diocese of Tulsa was split off as a suffragan see. It covers the western half of Oklahoma with around 111 parishes, anchored by the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Oklahoma City. A notable draw for pilgrims is the National Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague in Prague, Oklahoma, one of only a handful of nationally recognized Infant Jesus shrines in the United States.
