Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis

The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis was established as a diocese in 1850 and elevated to an archdiocese in 1888, covering 12 counties in the Twin Cities metro region. Its two cathedrals reflect the dual-city name: the Cathedral of Saint Paul, completed in 1915 with its landmark copper dome, and the Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis — the first minor basilica in the United States. The archdiocese serves around 210 parishes.
