Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Parma

Established on February 21, 1969 by Pope Paul VI, the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Parma is the third Ruthenian Greek Catholic eparchy in the United States. It covers a broad midwestern swath — from Ohio through Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, and into the Dakotas — with 34 parishes celebrating the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom in the Byzantine Rite. Its cathedral, dedicated to St. John the Baptist in Parma, Ohio, serves as the episcopal seat within the ecclesiastical province of Pittsburgh.
