Diocese of Baker
Explore 56 Catholic parishes, up-to-date schedules, and livestream options in the diocese.
Erected in 1903 from the Archdiocese of Oregon City, the Diocese of Baker covers all of eastern Oregon — roughly 173,000 square kilometers across 18 counties, from the Cascades to the Idaho border. Its cathedral is Saint Francis de Sales in Baker City, whose cornerstone was laid in 1906. About 56 parishes serve one of the most sparsely populated and geographically vast Catholic dioceses in the country, giving it a missionary character that has defined it since its founding.
