Diocese of Greensburg
Explore 86 Catholic parishes, up-to-date schedules, and livestream options in the diocese.
The Diocese of Greensburg was erected by Pope Pius XII in 1951, carved from the Diocese of Pittsburgh to serve Armstrong, Fayette, Indiana, and Westmoreland counties in southwestern Pennsylvania. Its cathedral is the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg. The territory has deep Catholic roots — the first Mass west of the Allegheny Mountains was celebrated nearby in 1749, and missionary priest Father Gallitzin established Sugar Creek Church in 1806.
