Explore 71 Catholic parishes, up-to-date schedules, and livestream options in the diocese.
The Diocese of Salt Lake City was erected in 1891 by Pope Leo XIII, taking territory from the Archdiocese of San Francisco, and today its boundaries cover the entire state of Utah. Its cathedral is the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City, completed in 1909. With 71 parishes, Catholics have worshipped here as a small minority alongside the state's dominant LDS community since the first parish opened in 1871.
