Diocese of Shreveport
Explore 38 Catholic parishes, up-to-date schedules, and livestream options in the diocese.
The Diocese of Shreveport was established in 1986 by Pope John Paul II, carved out of the Diocese of Alexandria-Shreveport to give northwest Louisiana its own diocese. It covers 16 civil parishes across north Louisiana, from Caddo and Bossier near the Texas and Arkansas borders to Ouachita in the east. The cathedral is the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans in Shreveport, and the diocese today has 38 parishes serving Catholics spread across a largely rural region.
