Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter

Established on January 1, 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI under the apostolic constitution Anglicanorum coetibus, the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter serves Catholics of Anglican heritage across the United States and Canada. Headquartered at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham in Houston, Texas, it is one of three such ordinariates worldwide and maintains 35 parishes. Its parishes celebrate a distinctive form of the Roman Rite that preserves Anglican liturgical and spiritual traditions within full communion with Rome.
