Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saint Josaphat in Parma

The Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saint Josaphat in Parma was established on December 5, 1983 by Pope John Paul II to serve Ukrainian Greek Catholics across the Midwest and Southeast — covering Ohio, western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and several Southern states. Its 42 parishes celebrate the Divine Liturgy in the Byzantine rite according to Ukrainian tradition. Saint Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, the episcopal seat in Parma, Ohio, was dedicated in 1988, timed to mark the millennium of Christianity in Ukraine.
