Do you have children between the ages of 6 and 17 would like to learn more about their Catholic faith or prepare for their sacraments? If so, then Children's Faith Formation (CFF) at St. Ignatius Parish is for you! Our program focuses on forming young people to develop a personal relationship with God, an emerging sense of authentic self, and an orientation toward service. Our volunteer catechists accompany our youth during preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. Children who have reached the age of reason (typically 7) who have not been baptized and older children who have not yet made their First Communion are welcome and can receive these Sacraments as part of the program. The call to be a catechist is an ancient calling going back all the way to the Early Church to the very first people who practiced the Christian faith, often risking their lives to teach the faith in secret to a society that did not accept them.
