A Message from Fr. Matt

Christ is risen, alleluia, alleluia!

Dear parish family of St. Luke the Evangelist,

We thank God for His many gifts this past Easter Triduum. For those present at our Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night, you were gifted to witness a full sanctuary - from the baptismal font on the left to the choir on the right - full of those entering the Church. Praise God! What a witness for our parish of the gift the Lord is bestowing on us! Those baptized were Chip Andrews, Frankie Caporal, Maro Edibiokpo, and Christian Simental. The following were received into full communion: Max Thomas, Sam Parker, Zach Futch, Jimmy Westbrook, and Tyler Kirkendall. Tatiana Daley and Lilly Newbill, already Catholics, were Confirmed along with all the others above.

Our journey on earth, Lord willing, is completed in eternity. Without the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we have no hope for eternal life. Let us pray for those who came into full communion with the Catholic Church, for those on their journey, and for those who have yet to begin. Come, Holy Spirit.
