Militia of the Immaculata (MI) Consecration Preparation Classes
Have you ever considered consecrating yourself to Mary? Consecrate yourselves to Our Lady through the worldwide Militia of the Immaculata (MI) movement, founded by Saint Maximilian Kolbe. The spirit of the movement is the spirit of continual conversion. When lived in the spirit of willingness and humility, the Immaculata will elevate our natural gifts and inspire us to holiness and fruitful service within the Church. Join us for a preparation class as we discuss, why we consecrate ourselves to Mary, the role of Mary in the Church, the spirituality of St. Maximilian Kolbe behind the founding of the Militia of the Immaculata (MI), and how to prepare for Marian Consecration. Please note that this is a class to inform and help assist those who are discerning consecration to Our Lady. The actual consecration ceremony for those who choose to follow through, will take place on a selected Marian feast day. Registration is required.To register, please contact Deacon Tom Gaida at [email protected] or 847-367-7800 ext. 246. NOTE: This is not a series of classes. We o er the same class several times during each calendar year and they are FREE of charge. MI Members are invited to join us on the 3rd Sunday of each month at at 5:00 PM at Marytown for our MI Village (Prayer Meeting).

Praying with the Franciscan Saints
Presented by Fr. Tom Czeck, OFM Conv. Select Saturday Mornings from July–November 800 years ago on October 3, the great Poverello of Assisi (St. Francis) experienced his transitus—the passing from this world to the next, as he met Sister Death. In honor of this extraordinary saint, on January 7, 2026, Pope Leo XIV sent a letter to the Ministers General of the Conference of the Franciscan Family o cially opening the Year of Saint Francis (January 10, 2026 to January 10, 2027). During this time, Pope Leo encourages all members of the Franciscan family and all members of the faithful, to look to Saint Francis and pray that he may "instill in all of us perfect joy and harmony." In answer to this call you are invited to pray with our Franciscan Saints. We will learn about the Franciscan Saints in our chapel and the spirituality that changed the world in which they lived. Join Me for pastries and co ee in the Saint Bonaventure Room from 9:00 am-11:00 am one select Saturday morning each month from July–November!

Secular Franciscan (Third Order) Meeting
A Secular Franciscan is a lay Catholic living in the world, single or married, following in the footsteps of and Rule of our Seraphic Father, St. Francis of Assisi, in striving for a deeper union with Christ. We meet monthly with our professed Brothers and Sisters as well as with those in formation. We worship, work and pray in the community in which we live as part of the Franciscan family. Under the spiritual direction of the Marytown friary, we advance the Catholic Culture of Life, help the poor, homeless, infirm, lonely, elderly, and defend the unborn. If you're drawn to Christ in the Franciscan Charism, desire to better live the Gospel of our Lord with the help of others, in an Order recognized by the Church, then please consider spending a Sunday afternoon with the members of the St. Maximilian Kolbe Fraternity who meet right here at Marytown, the 2nd Sunday of each month (except May) at 1:00 pm, beginning with a short liturgy in the Chapel.
