Summer Book Study: ARMCHAIR PILGRIMAGE to Assisi
Join us for our 2026 'ARMCHAIR PILGRIMAGE' to Assisi! Pope Leo XIV has declared this year a special Franciscan Jubilee Year in observance of the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi. We will read St. Francis of Assisi: His Life, Teachings and Practice, by author Jon M. Sweeney, a popular interpreter of the life and work of the saint. We will also view an EWTN video series, The Unknown St. Francis of Assisi, narrated by Teresa Tomeo, a Catholic radio host. We will meet for six Wednesdays beginning at 7 pm on July 22nd through August 26th . **Registration is required.**

This group typically meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month beginning at 7 pm in the Youth Room on the Lower Level of the Parish Center. In July, there will be only one meeting on Tuesday, July 28th. We will resume our regular schedule in August, meeting on August 11th and 25th.

Pastoral Reflection: Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened". . . "I will give you rest". . . "learn from me". ."you will find rest for yourselves." These are phrases from today's gospel that are worth savoring and reflecting on. Hear them as an expression of Christ's love and care. Allow the truth of Christ's words to penetrate your heart and deepen your relationship with Christ. The invitation is simple. . . Come, rest in the Lord, rely on the Lord. Is there someone you know who would be comforted to hear these words? The mandate we have been given is to share the good news!
