Today is the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi). In addition to Sunday Mass, Becket is partnering with the other parishes in our family for 'Praise Fest.' This is the second or third year we have participated. All parishes in the family contribute music and volunteers for an afternoon of adoration of Christ in the Eucharist. The event runs from 2:30 - 4:00 PM this afternoon (Sunday) at Kellogg Park in downtown Plymouth.
Praise Fest features inspirational music, a quiet time for adoration, and it will conclude with a Eucharistic Procession. This is a wonderful way to witness to the power of Christ in the Eucharist. I hope you can join us even for a little while!
Summer weather has arrived! We celebrated our first 'Mass on the Grass' of the season last Saturday. We had perfect weather, and the beauty of nature added to the solemnity of the occasion. Because of your generosity, we finally purchased outdoor speakers after earmarking money since 2024. The speakers make a big difference - the sound is fantastic!
We would like to to schedule some more outdoor events now that we have the new sound system. If any of you have ideas for programming, please email me.
Our first outdoor concert in the Garden takes place on Wednesday, June 24th, from 7:00 - 8:30 PM, called 'Swing City Big Band Concert' featuring our own Kelly's husband, Dan! You will be hearing more about this event as it draws closer.
We are currently accepting pledges to this year's Catholic Services Appeal. You can either make a one-time donation to CSA or make a pledge that can be paid monthly for eight months or quarterly. I encourage you to consider a $400 per household pledge this year so we can remit the $214,860 required by the Archdiocese to fund archdiocesan ministries.

Your continued generosity will help us raise the needed funds for ministries of the AOD, but also as a way for our parish to raise funds for ourselves. This year, we are applying any funds over and above our CSA target of $214,860 toward funding activities during 2027, celebrating our 50th anniversary as a parish.
Please consider pledging and making payments through the archdiocese's online giving portal for CSA. You can find the link on our homepage, right below the banner at the top of the page. This portal will expedite processing and save processing fees of 2.5 to 4 percent per transaction. Thanks, as always, for your generosity!
