The Salvation Army in Cheboygan is working alongside local churches and organizations to assist families impacted by the flooding. In response to this crisis, the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation has committed a $150,000 grant to support ongoing flood relief efforts across these communities. Of this commitment, $50,000 will be deployed immediately. The remaining $100,000 will be offered as a dollar-for-dollar matching gift — meaning every contribution made to the Flood Relief Fund for Our Northern Michigan Neighbors will be matched up to $100,000. All funds raised beyond the match will continue supporting local relief and recovery efforts for affected families. This is a moment for neighbors to come together for one another. If you know of someone that is seeking to become Catholic, or are already baptized and would like to complete their sacraments of initiation of Confirmation and First Holy Communion (some of you are sitting in the pew every week already:)), please contact me.
