Prayer for Priests, Seminarians, and Vocations Groups. Can you spare 30-Minutes after Mass per week? Please join us every Thursday in the Chapel for Holy Mass at 8:30 AM. After Mass, we pray the Rosary and additional prayers for our Priests, Seminarians, and Vocations. Prayer for Clergy and Religious, Diocese of Gaylord for the week of June 8: Monday: Deceased Priests Tuesday: Rev. Thomas Philip Wednesday: Rev. Alfred Pillarelli Thursday: Rev. Msgr. Mark Plewka Friday: Rev. Benjamin Rexroat Saturday: Most Reverend Bishop Walsh Sunday: Rev. Michael Roman "Eternal Father, we lift up to you these and all clergy & religious of the world. Sanctify them; Heal them; Guide them. Mold them into the likeness and holiness of Your Son, Jesus, the Eternal High Priest. May their lives be pleasing to You. In Jesus' name we pray…….Amen"
In support of Bishop Walsh's "Called by Name" initiative to increase vocations in our parishes to the Priesthood, Consecrated Life, and Holy Matrimony, we are listing actions each family can take within their own households. These are reprinted from an article in detroitpriestlyvocations.com ("10 simple ways for families to promote vocations in their homes"). To recap, we are encouraged to "Identify the Gifts of Family Members", and to "Pray", and….. OFFER FRIENDSHIP TO PRIESTS
Whether it's sharing a meal, or taking a walk, or simply having a conversation, make an effort to share friendship with priests and religious. Friendships will foster awareness, communication and respect for the lifestyle and needs of each person. Feelings of happiness and satisfaction will be the sure result! A Day to Pray for Priests and their Sanctification – June 12th World Priest Day is a beautiful opportunity for us to pray for the priests who serve our Parish with such generosity, celebrating Mass, hearing confessions, providing guidance, and supporting our community in countless seen and unseen ways. Please sign one of the cards in the gathering space for Father Patrick after Mass!
The church offers a peaceful atmosphere for quiet prayer and reflection, especially beautiful and serene in winter.
