I was born on July 7 in Lincoln, NE, and am the fifth of six children in my family, three girls and three boys in total. Growing up, I attended St. Peter's parish and grade school in Lincoln and then went on to St. Pius X High School. While I was at these schools, I had the opportunity to grow in my faith in Jesus Christ through my reception of the sacraments, learning how to pray, and daily interaction with so many awesome priests and religious sisters. As high school came to a close, the thought that had always been in the back of my mind wouldn't go away: Is Jesus calling me to be a priest? Eventually, I discerned that God was calling me to go to seminary, and so I attended St. Gregory the Great Seminary in Seward, NE, where I studied philosophy for four years, before being sent on to Mount St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, where I studied theology. I was ordained a priest on May 23, 2026, at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln, and was very glad to be assigned by Bishop Conley to serve as the assistant pastor here at St. John the Apostle parish in Lincoln. I look forward to getting to know all of you and assist you in your journey of knowing and loving our Lord Jesus. NOTE: Fr. Lux did also want to note that he was previously at St. James in Cortland before coming to St. John's Parish.
