As a parish, we strive to be good stewards of our resources. Many families have moved away from envelopes and are now using ParishSoft to fulfill their generous stewardship commitments to our parish and the wider church through electronic donations. We have also found that many are not using their envelopes that we mail out. Help us to reduce our envelope and postage expense and at the same time support St. Matthew Catholic Church in a secure and convenient way by enrolling with ParishSoft. THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NEEDED TO FILL OUR PANTRY: Applesauce, canned and dried beans, canned chicken, tuna fish, canned fruit (low syrup), canned vegetables, cereal (low sugar), pasta, tomato sauce, peanut butter, jam/jelly, rice, soup, instant mashed potatoes, coffee (no K cups), tea bags, toiletries, paper towels, toilet paper, soap and laundry detergent. OUR PANTRY IS IN NEED OF SCHOOL SNACKS, JELLY, LAUNDRY DETERGENT, CANNED BEANS, RICE, TUNA, TOILET PAER & JARRED SAUCE! Please check expiration dates before donating as we cannot accept expired food. In addition to food donations, gift cards to ShopRite and Stop & Shop are needed for families to purchase perishables and other items. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity in helping our neighbors in need. It is greatly appreciated.

Our SVdP Conference has been helping neighbors in the community since 1967.Thanks to your continued financial support in the Poor Box and the many donations received through the mail, we were recently able to fulfill our motto, "We Help People." We assisted with paying partial rent for a neighbor. We helped another neighbor with paying a credit card bill. For a third neighbor we helped with paying a PSEG bill. During the month of May, we helped 27 neighbors with gift cards for fresh produce and meats. Please consider contributing and remember that "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts of the Apostles 20:35) A special thanks goes out to the parishioners of St. Matthew's, the New Pentecost Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order and the Knights of Columbus for their donations of gift cards and food to our pantry.

The Rosary Altar Society is actively seeking new members for 2026-2027! We hold monthly meetings, which begin by praying the Rosary in the Chapel, followed by coffee and dessert in Monsignor Goggin Hall. We assist in organizing Parish events and fundraisers, we host Catholic speakers, and most importantly, we Pray! If you are looking to increase your devotion to our Blessed Mother, and join a beautiful community of women of all ages, we invite you to join us. You can be as active as your time allows.
