Pennies to Heaven & Victory Cash Bash Update

DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST,

Pennies to Heaven Volunteers and Donations Needed Saturday & Sunday, August 1 & 2 Please plan to join us for this year's two-day celebration! On Saturday, August 1, we have our first annual Car Show starting at 3:00 p.m. and our annual Jazz Mass at 4:30 p.m., followed by live entertainment, food and beverages, a basket raffle, silent auction, and expanded Kids' Zone. Sunday, August 2 will feature our annual Noon Mass to honor Father Baker and will give us the opportunity to pay tribute to his great legacy. In addition, Sunday's events include our traditional coin drop and a Chiavetta's Chicken BBQ, with the continuation of the basket raffle, silent auction, and Kids' Zone. We do need volunteers to lend a hand and contribute their time and talents to help make Pennies to Heaven a success. To volunteer, please scan the QR code on page 5 of this bulletin and fill out the brief contact form online. You may also complete the paper volunteer form that can be found at the Pennies to Heaven table on the lower level of the Basilica.

We are also seeking donations for our weekend basket raffle. Donations can come in many forms—a fully assembled basket, individual items or a few themed items, gift cards to local businesses, or monetary contributions. Your assistance will help make this year's event a resounding success!

VICTORY CASH BASH 2026 We had a very successful Victory Cash Bash back on Saturday, March 21. Thank you to all who purchased tickets for the Sweepstakes, basket raffles, and 50/50 drawing. The event raised final net proceeds of $37,689.58, which goes to benefit Our Lady of Victory Elementary School.

Special thanks to all who donated baskets and volunteered their time to assist with this amazing event. I am deeply grateful for the leadership of our wonderful Cash Bash committee chairs, Rick Diamond and Merry Schmauss, our OLV Elementary School Principal, Mary Doyle-Szlosek, and our OLV Charities CFO, Mike Allaire. You all did a tremendous job in helping to make this such a successful event!
