St. Bede's Annual Historic Church Tour
Join St. Bede's and JKL Tours on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 8:45am - 5:00pm for a professionally guided tour that will explore some of the beautiful and historic Churches in the greater Cleveland area. We will visit: St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish St. Vitus Parish St. Rocco Parish St. Patrick Parish (Bridge Ave) We will begin with Mass in the chapel at St. Bede the Venerable parish at 8:00am. (Mass is optional). It will be a full day with the bus departing at 8:45am and returning at approximately 5:00pm. Lunch is included with a limited menu at Pier W restaurant. The cost of the tour is $100 per person. A limited number of tickets are available.

Concerts begin at 6:00pm rain or shine, so bring a chair and rain gear, if needed. Refreshments can be purchased. Admission is free.

Club 1000 Ticket Drawing
Proceeds from the raffle directly support various parish and school projects including St. Mary of the Assumption School, Parish Scholarship and Tuition Assistance, the Mary Zappitelli Scholarship at Lake Catholic High School, Helping Hand Food Pantry, St. Patrick Parish Meal Ministry, and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. There are two more drawing dates in 2026.
### **2026 Drawing Dates: August 2, 2026 & December 9, 2026**
Each drawing will award one $1,000 winner, one $500 winner, and five $100 winners. To be eligible, tickets must be purchased and received prior to each drawing date.
If you already have your Club 1000 ticket from the May 13th drawing, **it is still valid** for both remaining drawings. If you would still like to buy a ticket or would like to buy additional tickets, they are available at the Parish Office or by contacting Frank Zappitelli at 440-487-3808 or at ten.tta@illetippazramknarf.

Pastoral Message and Updates
On top of celebrating on the 4th of July this year, we also get a chance to celebrate our 250th year of independence. As a nation we celebrate our independence day; as Catholics, our patriotic celebration resonates from a deeper rhythm. God gave us the gift of free will. Being able to choose to be faithful and to love God is cause for great celebration. The devil uses many tools in an effort to trap and ensnare us, but God gave us the gift of free will and the ability to always choose to love God no matter what sin we are struggling with or situation we face. It is in being faithful to God that we are truly set free. This weekend, celebrate independence day well! As you celebrate the nation's independence, allow it to also reflect the gift that God has given to all people. I need help creating a way of honoring and praying for our current active military members of the parish. I would like to make a solid wood plaque that can be mounted to the wall in the Gathering Center. It should also have the ability to add and remove names as members of our parish enter and leave active duty. The design should echo both their patriotic service as well as our faith as Catholics. If you're a capable carpenter and would be interested in making this, please contact me. There will be a decent amount of work in figuring out design, size, placement, etc. Additionally, if this is an initiative that you would like to support financially, please contact Carol Lorek in the office. Beginning on August 26th we will have 2 daily Masses on Wednesdays: one with the school [when school is in session] at 8:00am and one in the evening at 7:00pm. Throughout the year a few of these 7:00pm Masses will also be anointing Masses. Our first anointing Mass will be on August 26th. People in need of anointing of the sick are invited to attend the 7:00pm Mass and be seated in the reserved pews. *
