New Parochial Administrator - Fr. Christopher J. Drennen, OSA

Fr. Christopher J. Drennen, OSA has been appointed the new Parochial Administrator of Saint Augustine Parish and will begin his ministry here on July 1, 2026 Fr. Chris is the youngest child of Patricia Hayes Drennen and Thomas Drennen. He was born on Long Island, N.Y. and raised in Chester Springs in Chester County, PA. He was educated in Catholic Schools, graduating from Malvern Prep School in 1973.He entered the Augustinian Formation Program at Villanova University after High School and made Simple Vows in 1976. Fr. Chris was ordained a priest in 1983. He has served in parishes in Queens N.Y., Troy N.Y., and was Pastor in Mechanicville N.Y., before going to California where he was a Pastor in Los Angeles. While there he earned an M.S. in Clinical Psychology. Fr. Chris returned to the East Coast in 2007 and worked in Campus Ministry at Villanova University for three years and then served at Malvern Prep starting in 2010 until now. He is very much looking forward to serving the people of St. Augustine Parish. Fr. Chris will preach at all the Masses the weekend of July 5.
