As we announced on June 7, beginning with the new fiscal year, we are making the following organizational changes: - Bookkeeping at St. Leo will be contracted to Clair Accounting. - Eliminated two Administrative Assistant positions with tasks assumed by other positions. - Recruiting for a Communications Coordinator With St. Leo is operating at a significant loss, the reductions will help us move towards a balanced budget in 2026-2027. These changes will reduce costs. They will also help us to improve our communications and improve engagement throughout our parish family. To improve our engagement as a parish family, we are hiring a Communications Coordinator. This person will staff the front desk at our Parish Office and help us implement a coordinated communications strategy to share the good news of the work of our parish family. Both parishes will benefit from this strategic and intentional approach to communications. This position will be both rewarding and challenging. The Communications Coordinator will be at the heart of parish life, aware of what is happening and helping to ensure others are too. With so much happening in parish life, he or she will highlight the most important things for the whole community while developing effective channels to get the right information to the groups that need it. Do you know someone who has a welcoming spirit and a gift for using different channels (bulletin, email marketing, etc.) to communicate a message? If so, please invite them to apply for this position. This is a great opportunity with lots of room for growth and development. If you are in need of an anointing for someone who is actively dying (outside office hours), please call the emergency line at 253-564-5185 and press 0. If you are attending Mass and are in need of an anointing just stand or sit by the Baptismal font and a priest will meet you after Mass.

Please stop by the Food Bank next weekend after Mass to purchase SCRIP to support St. Charles Borromeo School. If you haven't purchased SCRIP before, please stop by to see the list of vendor cards we usually keep on hand and get any questions about the program answered.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a registered member of our parish, please stop by the Welcome Table in the vestibule of the church after all Masses next weekend to pick up a gift bag and a registration form. The Millions of Monicas group prays for our children to return to the practice of their Catholic faith, and for our children to always stay close to their faith. Join us at St. Charles Borromeo Church on Thursdays at 12:30-1:30 pm to pray for our children.

Pregnancy Aid of Tacoma serving pregnant women, babies and toddlers needs help in designing an Access database for our transition to an electronic system.
