Independence Day is a time to thank God for the political and religious freedoms we enjoy and to pray for His special blessings upon our leaders and all the people of our country.
It is also a time to remember with gratitude the Founding Fathers of our nation, who recognized that all authority ultimately comes from God and that government exists to serve and protect the people entrusted to its care.
As we celebrate our nation's independence, we remember and pray for the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives to preserve our freedom, as well as those who continue to serve our country today. We ask God to bless them and their families for their courage and dedication.
The Fourth of July also reminds us of the fundamental truth expressed in the Declaration of Independence: that all people are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
As citizens, we have a responsibility to protect these God-given rights and to participate thoughtfully in civic life. We are called to be people of integrity, faith, and virtue, seeking the common good and contributing positively to our communities.
This holiday is also an opportunity to recommit ourselves to growth in Christ and to living as faithful Christians who contribute to our Church, our country, and the lives of others. It is a time to remember where we came from, what we stand for, and the sacrifices that so many have made on our behalf.
Above all, let us place our country and all its people before the Lord, asking for His providential care, protection, and blessings. In a profound way, we depend upon one another on life's journey. Let us pray for our neighbors, for our nation, and for the whole world, that war, violence, and division may give way to unity, justice, love, and peace.
Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans! Many Blessings,
